LSA Leads by Month

Lead volume grew as accounts came on. From August 2025 to January 2026 one to three accounts had leads in a given month. By September 2026 six accounts had leads in the month, and that month alone brought 353 leads.

Charged comes from the API flag on each lead. Marked booked depends on the contractor marking the lead in the LSA inbox, so the early months undercount bookings.

Charged vs Not Charged, and What Got Booked

Google does not charge for every lead. In this data 1,238 of 1,705 leads were charged (72.6%). Charged leads were also the ones that turned into work. 30.8% of charged leads were marked booked, against 6.6% of leads Google did not charge for.

The 24.2% booked rate for the full window is a floor, not a ceiling. Most accounts were not marking jobs booked before February 2026. In Q3 2026, with all 7 accounts on board, 35.7% of leads were marked booked (248 of 695). The phone and message split for the full window was 1,443 calls (84.6%) and 262 messages (15.4%).

Cost per Charged Lead and Cost per Booked Lead

Cost comes from Google's monthly LSA account report for full months, October 2025 through September 2026. Only plumbing has enough accounts (2) to break out on its own. Every other trade is inside the all-trades row.

Cost per booked lead looks high over the full year because bookings were not being marked early on. The quarterly view shows what happened once they were.

From November 2025 to October 16 2026, 75.0% of LSA phone leads were answered for 30 seconds or more (1,013 of 1,351). The plumbing accounts answered 78.3%. What happened next depended on that pickup.

When LSA Leads Come In

1,598 leads from November 2025 to October 16 2026, by the account's local time (Pacific). Most of the phone ringing happens during office hours, and the weekend is where calls go unanswered.

Answer rate = phone leads answered for 30 seconds or more, divided by phone leads in that slot. "No calls" means every lead in that hour was a message. Late evening hours have only a handful of calls, so read those rates with care.

Credits Google Gave Back

Google credited 34 leads across all 7 accounts between August 20 2025 and October 16 2026. That is 2.7% of the 1,238 charged leads, and 2 more credits were still pending when we pulled the data. In the 2 plumbing accounts, 4 leads were credited, 1.6% of 247 charged leads.

Methodology

  • Data source.Google Local Services Ads data pulled through the Google Ads API (the local services lead, lead conversation and account report resources) for the LSA accounts DG Agency manages under its own manager account. The data is synced into DG Agency's internal database and was queried read-only on October 21 2026.
  • Window.Leads created August 20 2025 to October 16 2026. Cost, charged and connected figures from Google's monthly account report cover full months, October 2025 to September 2026. Answer rate, call length and time-of-day figures use leads from November 1 2025 onward, because call details are missing for earlier leads.
  • Accounts and trades. 7 contractor accounts: roofing, plumbing (2), electrical, flooring, solar and HVAC. All run on Pacific time. The largest account produced 72.4% of all leads, so all-trades figures lean toward it. A trade is broken out only when it has 2 or more accounts. Today that is plumbing.
  • Definitions.A lead is one Local Services lead with a Google lead ID. Charged is Google's own charged flag. Marked booked means the contractor set the lead to Booked in the LSA inbox, so it undercounts real jobs. A message lead is Google's message lead type, and every other lead counts as a phone lead. Answered means at least one call on the lead lasted 30 seconds or more, which is our threshold, not Google's. Connected is Google's connected call count from the account report. Credited means Google marked the lead credited.
  • Excluded. 194 older lead rows that were imported by hand and have no Google lead ID. Any lead after October 16 2026. Booking-request leads are not split out because our sync does not store them as their own type. Google does not split cost by calls vs messages, so we do not either.
  • Privacy. No single contractor's numbers are shown. Figures are totals across accounts, or across a trade with 2 or more accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Google Local Services Ads lead cost in 2026?

Across 7 contractor accounts DG Agency manages, a charged LSA lead cost $96.20 on average from October 2025 to September 2026. That is $100,043.13 of spend over 1,040 charged leads. The 2 plumbing accounts paid $87.94 per charged lead. Your price depends on your trade, your market and how many other contractors want the same calls.

What percent of Google LSA leads do you actually pay for?

In our data, 72.6% of LSA leads were charged. That is 1,238 of 1,705 leads from August 20 2025 to October 16 2026. The other 467 came through without a charge. Google also credited back 34 charged leads, which is 2.7% of the charged total.

Does answering the phone change how many LSA leads turn into jobs?

Yes, by a wide margin. LSA calls that someone answered for 30 seconds or more were marked booked 30.5% of the time. Calls nobody picked up were marked booked 7.7% of the time. That covers 1,351 phone leads from November 2025 to October 16 2026 across 7 contractor accounts.

When do Google LSA leads come in?

Mostly during the work week. 82.7% of LSA leads arrived on weekdays between 8am and 5pm Pacific, with Monday the busiest day at 23.9% and 10am the busiest hour at 13.1%. Weekends brought 10.5% of leads, and only 46.3% of weekend calls got answered.

How often does Google credit back bad LSA leads?

Not often. Google credited 34 leads across our 7 accounts between August 20 2025 and October 16 2026, which is 2.7% of the 1,238 charged leads. Two more were still pending when we pulled the data. That rate only counts leads Google agreed to credit, not every lead that looked like junk.
